A new extension to a multi-generational farm home, anchored around a beautiful maple tree and joined by a floating glass bridge, complements the original structure; also fully remodeled by Studio Lingo. The design seeks to draw in the surrounding forest with the integration of native pine, oak, and maple while directing the focus outward through carefully framed views of the densely wooded landscape beyond.

A substantial insulated CMU thermal mass wall coupled with methodically located high-performance operable windows leverage passive thermal and ventilation strategies to provide a comfortable, highly energy efficient interior environment tailored to the local climate.
